Forward

(by astra December 23, 2009)

Depart now

While this world still turns,

Till the end of time

The vow is far greater

Than the knot they tie

There must only be one universe

But millions of lies

Never look into this mind’s eye

The worlds may collide

Then there would only be you and I

Against the fortress of truth

It can never come to pass

You are never with me

In a battle against destiny

Words are silently spoken

From deep within

Solely this soul

Felt the pain, and the requisition

Of constant beleaguering of this love

To begin

And so it dies for a moment

Will be relived for a second

And will be forgotten for a lifetime

Who do I love?

A day has passed, and the night will come
Alone, but there’s comforting contentment in this heart
He left with a soulful love and lives for it
And counts every dream unfold with tears
When love is farfetched to reach
The heart that longs for a lovely sip
Waiting becomes a bitter bliss
Here, she’s longing for his calming kiss

The night has passed and a new day will come
Alone she survived the test of time
She remained with the heart conspicuously deceived
By lies, by pains, by pride, by innate tendencies
When love has given you enough to believe
Yearning becomes a beautiful wish
Here, this love will never leave.

The darkness looms throughout the night, enveloping every corner and nook of the surrounding. There is no hope for light to pass through and the only consolation in that deserted place is the belief that His divine guidance will lead her to an escape amidst the mystifying conundrum of fears. Everything is silent as though each living and non-living creature in that dilapidated place listens to the beating of her heart, waiting for something to occur. Wary and weary, she cowered where she fell, and there she remained motionless for a matter of time. She wasn’t alone, that she is certain about. There is someone behind the frames, or probably behind the walls, waiting to hear the sobbing of a hopeless or probably the howling of the desperate, but none of those happened. The darkness seemed a lifetime cause even when her eyes are closed the very same gloominess would confront and test her strength.

The night has passed and the sun began to shower its rays on earth; it is the moment she has been waiting for. Slowly she opened her eyes, and saw the deplorable condition she is in. Pity, she should have felt that in her heart like how she would always feel whenever she would find someone in that similar condition. But no, she stood right where she stumbled and managed to take a step, then another, and still another. She struggled to get into the door until she is finally out of her contemptible state.

Life, it went on and the fear was set aside.

But it constantly haunts her at days when darkness looms and the silence is deafening at night.

In the absence of life

While surrounded by silence

She exist with the unfathomable pain of waiting

When the bare truth lies in her face

He is never coming in this stale darkness of her world

There is comfort in his lighted world

And his mind never attuned to the music of her soul

And so the waiting never ends

The pain becomes excruciatingly unbearable

But the waiting never ceases..

That Night
